Joseph D. Kamenshchik, Esq. prosecutes private claims arising from labor law violations, on behalf of employees, with a particular focus on unpaid wages and overtime claims. Mr. Kamenshchik also assists foreign businesses by facilitating their entry into, and participation in, new markets, such as the United Nations and the World Food Program. Mr. Kamenshchik provides guidance on vendor registration processes, bidding, and tender exercises.
Mr. Kamenshchik earned his Doctorate in Jurisprudence (J.D.) at Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Kamenshchik is also an undergraduate alumnus of Adelphi University – magna cum laude – and is a Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society inductee. During law school, his studies included, but were not limited to: International Law; Aviation Law; Health Law; Intellectual Property; Internet Law; Criminal Procedure; and a course in Cybersecurity-Computer Crimes under the tutelage of a Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Department of Justice.
Mr. Kamenshchik was a legal extern with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in the State of New Jersey, where he researched and analyzed federal and state case law, statutes, and rules of evidence. Mr. Kamenshchik drafted trial and appellate level briefs on constitutionally significant criminal matters, including, but not limited to, evidence suppression, ineffective assistance of counsel, and search and seizure.
As Of Counsel to another dual-state firm operating in New Jersey and New York, Mr. Kamenshchik conducts research in various fields of civil legal practice, including, but not limited to: domestic and international contract law; product liability law; personal injury and insurance litigation; matrimonial and family law; as well as criminal law. Mr. Kamenshchik instructs co-counsel on relevant procedural and substantive laws that are related to the aforesaid practice areas. He also formulates litigation strategy based on the thorough investigation, review, and analysis of facts and law applicable to each case.

Mr. Kamenshchik was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His parents immigrated to the United States from the former Soviet Union when his older sister was a young child. Mr. Kamenshchik and his sister are proud to be third generation attorneys. His wife is a Doctor of Dental Surgery specializing in orthodontics. Currently, he resides with his wife in Nassau County, on Long Island, New York.
